Creative Treatment Options (CTO) is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Geriatric and Family Medicine Associates (GFMA), a primary care practice owned by Dr. Christina Mulkey. Starting November 7, 2024, a primary care provider from GFMA will hold patient appointments at CTO’s Commerce City office every Thursday, offering integrated health services to CTO clients.
This innovative collaboration will allow clients of CTO to receive both primary and behavioral healthcare in one location, enhancing treatment outcomes for individuals managing substance use disorders (SUD) and improving overall health for clients who may not have had access to regular medical care.
Why This Partnership is a Game-Changer
This unique partnership with GFMA provides clients of CTO with compassionate, comprehensive care that supports their physical and mental well-being. Here’s what the collaboration brings:
- Primary Care Services: GFMA will act as the primary healthcare provider for CTO clients, addressing a variety of health needs, including routine check-ups, chronic condition management, and preventive care.
- Specialized Support for Substance Use Disorder (SUD): GFMA will offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for clients with SUD. This treatment approach provides medical support for recovery, empowering individuals to overcome challenges and work toward healthier lives.
- Collaborative and Integrated Care: For the first time, CTO will offer collaborative team intakes where a medical provider and a CTO clinician meet with clients together. This team-based approach provides a more holistic assessment, supporting individualized medical and behavioral health care planning.
- Accessible and Affordable Care: GFMA accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most major insurances. CTO also accepts Medicaid, vouchers, and manages grant funds for clients who need financial assistance, ensuring that cost will not be a barrier to receiving essential care.
“This partnership will have a lasting impact on our clients, empowering them to reach their treatment goals and live healthier, fuller lives,” said a representative from CTO. “Together with GFMA, we’re making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.”
