We're thrilled to share that Geriatric and Family Medicine Associates (GFMA) is one of the fortunate recipients of a significant grant, aimed at expanding mental health services throughout our community. The Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) has made it their mission to enhance the integration of primary care, mental health, and substance use services. With the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for accessible mental and behavioral health services has become more pressing than ever before.

For our patients at GFMA, this means better accessibility to behavioral health counseling, medications, and a seamless care coordination. Our team is also excited about the prospect of offering enhanced support, addressing workforce shortages, and serving our communities needs.

The overwhelming number of applications the state received underscores the urgency and importance of this initiative. We're deeply grateful to be chosen and look forward to implementing the grant in ways that will substantially benefit our patients.

For a more in-depth look at the grant, the recipients, and future updates, we urge our readers to visit the official press release at https://hcpf.colorado.gov/hcpf-awards-behavioral-health-care-integration-grants.
